Junior Pennant Round 2.

On Sunday the 27th of October, the Settlers Run junior pennant side travelled to Keysborough GC to battle it out in a top of the table clash between the two sides.

Leading Settlers Run off was Liam White at number one who had his work cut out for him coming up against a tough opponent, Liam fought hard all day eventually walking away with a great one up win.

At number two was Billie Tate, again coming up against a quality opposition, another great display of golf saw Billie’s match result in a halved point.

Amelia Goodwin went out at number three to test her opponent, unfortunately just falling short of a win in her match, losing 3/2.

Baily Podd went out at number four and didn’t spend much time on the golf course at all, some great golf saw Baily win very convincingly 6/5.

Mathew Phillips went out at number five in his first match of the season, Mat played some great golf and proving clutch down the stretch to win 2/1.

Rounding off the matches for settlers Run was Angus Hoey, coming up against another tough opponent, Angus just fell short of a win, losing 3/2.

Another great win to the Settlers Run junior pennant side, they got the job done with a 3 1/2 – 2 1/2 victory over Keysborough to keep Settlers Run on top of the ladder after two rounds. This week the team heads over to Sandhurst to keep their great form going, so good luck.
